Hundepost ist gekommen!

Auszug aus dem Bescheid

Gestern hatte ich endlich den lang ersehnten Bescheid im Briefkasten! 

Ich war so aufgeregt, dass ich ihn gar nicht selbst öffnen konnte. Als meine Freundin Filiz (die den Brief für mich las) mir dann die guten Neuigkeiten verkündete, konnte ich es kaum fassen. Erst heute nach dem Aufwachen habe ich dann so richtig realisiert, was das bedeutet.

Ich sprach dann gleich mit der Hundetrainerin, die sich sehr mit mir und für mich freute und jetzt mit der Welpensuche beginnen kann. 

Bis ein geeigneter Hund gefunden ist, kann es noch einmal 2-3 Monate dauern, aber mit der Anzahlung ist eine große Hürde überwunden und ich glaube im Vergleich zu den vielen Monaten, die der Hund letztendlich bei mir sein wird, sind 2-3 Monate leicht zu verschmerzen. Außerdem ist die Auswahl eines Tieres mit den benötigten Wesenszügen sehr wichtig, denn nicht alle Hunde eines Wurfes sind für den Job als Assistenzhund geschaffen.  

Da ich von den bewilligten maximalen 10.000 Euro schon einen Teil für eine spezielle Therapie, die von der Krankenkasse nicht übernommen wird, benötige, bleiben fast 8.000 Euro für meinen Hund. Diese Summe wird direkt an die Trainerin, Kathrin Riedy, gehen, sodass ich den Zielbetrag auf der Crowdfunding-page dementsprechend anpassen werde. 

Ich freue mich riesig über die guten Nachrichten und bedanke mich nochmals bei allen Unterstützern, Mitbetern, Freunden und Fremden, die mir bisher geholfen haben und auch weiterhin helfen.

Dog mail has arrived!

Yesterday, finally I found the long-awaited decision in my mailbox!

I was so excited that I could not open it myself. When my friend Filiz (who read the letter for me) told me the good news, I could hardly believe it. Only today after waking up did I really realize what that means.

I then spoke with the dog trainer, who was very happy with me and for me and can now start the puppy search.

It may take another 2-3 months for a suitable dog to be found, but with the down payment a big hurdle has been overcome and I believe that compared to the many months that the dog will eventually be with me, it is easy to get over 2-3 months. In addition, the selection of an animal with the required traits is very important, because not all dogs of a litter are created for the job as an assistance dog.

As I already need a part of the approved maximum of 10,000 euros for a special therapy, which is not covered by the health insurance, still almost 8,000 euros will be left for my dog. This sum will go directly to the trainer, Kathrin Riedy, so I will adjust the target amount on the crowdfunding page accordingly.

I'm really happy about the good news and thanks again to all supporters, fellow worshipers, friends and strangers who have helped me so far and continue to help.
